OCEANIA THE MERMAID

Yesterday I was finishing off two art pieces and my Oceania the Mermaid is one of them. I really had fun working on her. She is a big doll , standing at 18 inches. Her body has lots of work on it. I did hand stitching, beading, applied shells, netting, gold braiding. fishes etc.

I also made her a nice necklace with shells and turquoise beads. :)

I had fun thinking of what to use for her breasts. So I used two big glass marbles that I had and put two little shells as nipples. :)

She also has a little glass sea horse as her belly button.

Hope you enjoy her as I do!

Hugs and I will share with you my other art piece soon.

You know how I love dolls and she is just lovely...I have a thing for Fairies, angels and Mermaids (but my Mermaids always end up with wings LOL) Thanks for sharing, I've been dying just waiting and waiting.......

Hi Norma,
I have some loose marbles that have been accumulating and have been wondering what to do with them.
You have come up with a wonderful use for them.

What a unique interpretation of the mythical creatures that inhabit our imaginations.

Lovely detail, very inspiring.
Great job.

Oh, Norma, these are my kind of colors. I think the seahorse navel is especially appealing!
