Before I move on to something not Valentine's Day related, I would like to share these photos with you.
For our February Doll swap on a Ning Group, I made two dolls. One is a Dotee Doll and the other is an Icicle Doll. We had to make one with a Valentine theme and the other to represent our favorite Artist.
I decided to make my Dotee Doll with a Valentine theme and my Icicle Doll would be my favorite Artist.
This time for my Dotee Doll, I made her to represent a Russian doll of sorts. Hope you like her.
My Icicle Doll represents my favorite Mexican Artist, Frida Khalo. You will see she is very colorful with flowers in her hair. I also beaded around her heart. I also found some nice charms to finish her off.
Then my dear friend, Carey in CA. had her birthday recently so I made her a chipboard postcard in her favorite colors. I mailed it in a colorful envelope that I drew and painted on.

wonderful, colorful pieces Norma! I like the dotee doll in particular..she reminds me of how much fun I had working with felt, and paper dolls when I was much younger, although she is much more sophisticated!! The cards are always just great. You definitely have a knack for card making, and incorporating bright bold colors! ( I think I'm a bit afraid of bright bold colors, so I commend you on that! will have to exchange a Dotee Doll. I love them....and have so many cute photos of lots of them on my photo site. I originally was hoping for one from the real Dot....but, she gave up on them just about the time I found then. Darn it.
We're in Portugal....weather is pretty good ... but, we all have rotten colds.... and are trying to carry on seeing country anyway...just got back form wine tasting in Porto.... a few hours from where we are staying in a small town with friends....
